Student Associations and Faculty Join Forces
In recent weeks festive receptions were held on our campuses in Leuven and Antwerp to celebrate the dedication and enthusiasm of our faculty’s student associations – and our fruitful collaboration with them: Absoc (Antwerp campus), Ekonomika (Leuven and Brussels campuses), and ISCEB (Brussels campus). These events marked not only a farewell to the current student teams, but also the beginning of a new chapter.
During these events, an important step forward was taken: the signing of a joint charter. This document clearly outlines mutual expectations and commitments, the objectives of our collaboration, and several practical agreements. It provides a solid foundation for a sustainable, constructive and transparent partnership across all our campuses.
“This milestone demonstrates what we can achieve when we work in genuine partnership,” said Wilfried Lemahieu, Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business. “By listening to one another and building mutual trust, we’re shaping a more vibrant academic community for all our students.”
On the Brussels campus, Ekonomika Brussels and ISCEB also signed a gentlemen’s agreement to join forces and work towards a unified structure. Through this partnership, they aim to better respond to the needs of Brussels-based students and to foster a warm, dynamic student environment in which everyone feels at home.
A heartfelt thank-you to all students and colleagues who have supported these initiatives. Thanks to your commitment, we continue to build a future-oriented and inclusive approach to student engagement – because the best ideas are born together.
