Raphaël Bronckart (ISCEB Brussels):

"As a team, our main focus this year is to finalise the merger with Ekonomika Brussels."

Raphaël Bronckart, chose to study Business Engineering at our Brussels Campus because it allows him to combine his logical mindset with his ambition to grow and take on challenges. As President of the International Students’ Association ISCEB, he wants to guide ISCEB through an important transition year, ensuring that international students remain at the heart of the community. His ambition is to create lasting experiences that students will carry with them long after their studies.

Could you briefly introduce yourself? What are the three things that best describe you?

If I had to describe myself in three words, I’d say creative, ambitious, and curious – the kind of student who often finds himself forming hypotheses about all sorts of things.

Which upcoming ISCEB events are you most looking forward to?

I’m especially looking forward to the ‘end-of-the-year event’ that I’m planning to organize. For many students, the end of the exam session can feel a bit anticlimactic: after weeks of hard work, we often just head home, rest for a few days, and then many international students return to their home countries. This leaves little space to truly unwind and celebrate with the friends we’ve made. That’s why I want to propose an event immediately after the final exams – a moment to relax, celebrate our efforts, and properly mark the end of the academic year together

What would you like to achieve this year as a team, and what would you like to accomplish personally as President?

As a team, our main focus this year is to finalise the merger with Ekonomika Brussels. Together, we want to strengthen the sense of community on our campus. Since most of our students come from abroad, including the International Student Council in Ekonomika will be key to ensuring international students feel fully integrated into this community.

Personally, as President, my goal is to safeguard the values of ISCEB – above all, our commitment to supporting international students. I want to ensure these values are not only respected throughout the merger but also carried forward for the years to come.

What is your favorite memory at ISCEB? And which new memories do you hope to create this year?

My favourite memory at ISCEB is definitely the ping-pong tournament. It was such a simple event to organise, yet so effective in bringing people together. Moments like that can spark new friendships and create lasting memories. This year, I’d love to give the ISCEB team more opportunities to organise events like this, helping us build a stronger community on campus while also giving students the chance to relax in between their studies.
